The depth of the stars

We live in semiotic universe. One filled with not only signs, like a cross on a church as a sign of ‘church’. But we also live in a world of symbols, for that same cross can symbolise to many something way beyond two sticks over one another.

The world of signs is the world we live in, the mundane world. While the world of symbols holds the mystery and depth of the unconscious, a place of great content and character. The roots of the unconscious are the birthing places of poetry, imagination, stories, ideas, and all manner of things that are wildly and rhythmically creative. For although dreams are inspired from a wee thread, a wee notion from our day-to-day life—the Dream Maker weaves many of these pieces- seen and unseen – together, delivering messages each night through the richness of symbols. Symbols are gateways to Truths beyond forms.

Reconnecting to the revelation of our dreams, a silver of light through the darkness

Once upon a time, a long time ago, the night was also called la spero, la esperanza, and lichtblick. The first being Latin, the second Spanish, and the third German. All these words mean “ray of light”, for in the old way of thought it was observed that at night light was let into humans through the moon and stars. Spero, esperanza, lichtblick also meant a state of hope—for within this way of ancient thought, light and hope were the same idea, born of the same roots. For hope is a light that shined in through the dark giving new ideas, revealing new pathways that could not be seen in daylight. Within the phenomenon of night, there is a place from which light comes to life in its play against their opposite. For only in the dark can the invisible messages, ideas, and inspirations of the unconscious be revealed.

The gigantic lights of the stars, that swirl through our universe, cannot be seen in daylight. Only at night do these orbs, nebule, and pathways made of stardust become crystal clear. Dreams are like that. The Intelligence is ever there, ever present. In daylight and at nighttime. But it is also unseen, most of the time in daylight. And more easily seen in the dark, in the lichtblick, in the spero, In the esperanza. It is only in the darkness that the light of the Dream-Maker comes to visit, she who walks through our night dreams, sprinkling symbols and ideas—helping lead us back to the true Self, back home, the most powerful Self we are capable of being.
